In January to February of 2026, “Ramageddon” left the niche market of PC builders and started to affect the larger mainstream market. What’s “Ramageddon”, you ask? It’s the incredible price rise in RAM, a memory component in all computers, because of the data centre boom fuelled by the current AI bubble.
I created the following story on Instagram on the 19th February 2026 to explain what was causing “Ramageddon” and why it was about to affect everyone.
